GLEN ELLYN – Ilirjan Jankulla wants to bring a taste of Europe to downtown Glen Ellyn.

The Carol Stream man in July plans to open Euro Crepes at 548 Crescent Blvd. The space previously housed a boutique shop, Fabulous Me.

“They will be sweet and savory crepes made from an old family recipe, using only the freshest ingredients,” said Jankulla, who is originally from Greece.

Jankulla has been cooking all his life and has a vast amount of restaurant experience. He previously owned a pizza restaurant in Glen Ellyn for several years and owned Louie’s Pizza on Route 59 in Naperville for about two years before recently selling it.

That restaurant earned rave reviews.

We love to do good food,” he said.

Jankulla said he is now ready to try a new concept as he prepares to open Euro Crepes with his wife.

“I wanted to do something new and healthy,” he said.

For those who have a taste for crepes any time of the day, you are in luck. The restaurant will serve handmade crepes all day, along with homemade desserts.
